Recently, a new soybean variety, named Dongsheng No 6 (National Registration No 2011002), has been approved for release by State Seed Committee for Crop Varieties.

The soybean variety was cultivated by Professor LI Yanhua and her group, which is one of Dongsheng soybean variety series. Former released varieties were Donnsheng No 1-5, approved for release at Provincial and National levels.

Dongsheng No 6 is mainly planted in cold areas of Heilongjiang Province, Jilin Province and Eastern Inner Mongolia, with 120 days of growth and 3000 kg/ha of average yield.
